We're not indifferent - we don't deal with emotional issues the same as women do.
Now, being confronted with a crying woman, that's a scary situation for a guy. We wonder if it's our fault, or try to "fix" it as soon as possible, by giving advice.
What I learned long ago is the best thing to do is just LISTEN. Don't say nuthin'...... JUST LISTEN.
