Down the road from the house I grew up in, there is a boat landing. It sits on a particularly beautiful bend in the Connecticut river. The sun rises over the water, and sets behind the mountains. There is a gazebo there that is lit up by christmas lights, and it has an overlook that would be great for a dance floor. Boats go by and sometimes they have fireworks there. There is also a steam train that goes by which adds a sort of aesthetic feeling to the place. I think that it would be a great place for me to take my vows because it is such a big part of my childhood, and has real meaning to me. I could go as far as to say it was my "church".

We got married in a local KC hall. It was the cheapest alternative. Since my wife and I lived in seperate towns we didn't have a specific church that we were affeliated with that would given us a discount on the rental rate.
As for Church or elsewhere, it really didn't matter to us. My aunt is a Methodist minister and she performed the ceremony. We selected the KC hall because it was the right size and the right price.
I've included a link to my website... click on the Wedding bells and see our wedding story. My wife did all the decorations, planning, etc. It was amazing!

I'm all for the sunny tropical beach with a few close friends and family. Have everyone stay for a week, and get married about 4 days in, and the new bride and I stay an extra week after everyone goes home....

At the Excalibur hotel in Las Vegas - lots of fun (we had 12 friends/family come along), a lot less stress...and much cheaper than a "regular" wedding. We used the money we saved on the wedding to go for a week to Hawaii on our honeymoon.

In a beautiful park, a flower garden, or arboretum
On a bright sandy beach in front of a blue green ocean.
Of course there are a lot of crazier places people have gotten married, like while skydiving or something. I can't wait to see the weird answers you get to this question.

I got married at my friend's house where I was living. They had just built a big deck on their house in the backyard. They have lots of beautiful trees and ferns in their backyard which just made everything perfect for a wedding. And the best part was that it was free to do it there! And we also had our reception right at the house. It was the most wonderful day!

We were married in a good friends yard, they own a lot of land & a nursery, so the landscaping was beautiful with koi ponds & fountains & the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen that they put out just for our wedding.
