She is a mutt, and we just got her from a shelter on Sunday. I know she may be a combo of a million different breeds, but I'm just curious what everyone thinks she resembles. She is so wonderful and happy to have a home!!

She is 14 weeks old, already 22 lbs. We knew she was perfect for us the second we saw her. She is so calm, but loves a good game of fetch, and rarely barks.

I wondered about the Husky influence too as she is noisy which I heard is a Husky trait. And German Shepherd was our guess too. She was found as a stray so we don't know what her parents were.

Anyway I can't help but show her off!

German shepard and husky mix. My sister had one that looked just like this, best dog ever! You are lucky to have her as much as she is lucky to have you! Enjoy a lifetime of companionship!

Looks like a German Shepherd/Husky cross to me! She will be a big, smart dog! Look up both breeds to find training and socialization info. I recommend going to rescue sites and look for "So you want to get a Husky..." or "Don't get a German Shepherd if..." to see what the common problems are with the breeds. Then you can adjust your training schedule to prevent these problems.

My experience tells me that your pup will need:

1.) A fenced yard or area that she can run off her energy for an hour or two every day (once she gets over her lazy stage).
2.)To be obedience trained daily so she isn't intellectually or physically bored, which will cause chewing, barking, digging, etc.
3.) To be socialized around all types of people, be wary of people she is shy of or barks at. Make sure she gets to meet these people and gets treats from them and has a positive experience with them. Do not encourage her to be territorial by chaining her up in the front yard where she is free to bark and challenge people as they walk by.
4,) Do not play tug of war with her, play fight, or let her chew on her leash as she walks. Shepherds especially have a problem with biting the leash. It not only ruins the leash, but it is sending them the message that they can lead you around where they please, and can play tug with the leash, which can grow into aggression.
5.)Thanks for adopting a dog! You saved a life!!!

I think she's part German Shepherd or Husky. She has the same coloring as my mutt who is a German Shepherd/collie mix but she doesn't have perky ears like yours.

She's definitely got shepard in her, but I can't place the rest. If she's already 22 pounds, she's going to a big one! I'm glad you got her at the pound, though--we have the most loving dog I've ever had, and she's from the pound. We're always saying that we can't believe someone gave her up.

Hi,
Awesome looking dog. Check out these breeds and mix and match:

1. Pharaoh Hound
2. Ibezan Hound
3. Australian Cattle Dog
4. Besenji

When the dog vocalizes would you say it whines or yodels?
My Pharaoh whines. Besenjis yodel. The cattle dog BARKS.

Based on what little bit I know about dogs, your pooch looks like its part Corgi (the ears), part German Shepherd (the markings) and I couldn't tell by the face what else.

I think that your puppy looks like a combination of Australian Cattle Dog and German Shepherd.
What a little cutie.
She is lucky to have a home with you.

She looks like a Australian Shepard and a German Shepard mix. I have a Australian Shepard, husky mix and the ears and head look just like hers.

You know...Its better for u a Pure Breed dog. Because they are easy to train and theyr behavior its much much better than the dogs that have a combo. Coz they maybe dogs from the street.

Huskies, shepherds, malamutes can look like wolves, yet there are extra uncommon canines that heavily resemble wolves. Saarlooswolfhond (Saarloos Wolf canine) and the community American Indian canine are 2 canines that would look basically like a wolf.
