I'll make this one brief. First of all, I think Emile was a fabulous fighter. A temendous talent, until...................................until he administered the beating to Paret that led to his death 10 days later. With that being said, Jose Napoles wins the rematch. I realize that Griffith won a lot of fights after Parets death, but, that's because he fought so much. He was never the same after the death. Jose on the other hand was skilled, crafty and according to Ring is one of the best punchers in the history of the fight game. Jose had a an awesome record on his way out of the fight game, he won 20 of his last 23 fights, unlike Emile who showed a constant decline in his last 23 fights only posting 9 wins. As much as I really like the scrappy Emille Griffith, he loses this fight.

Emile Griffith. Jose was very good but Emile was one of those fighters who was a body snatcher. After a fight the fighter would be asking themselves what happened even as he got older he'd be still coming on in the later rounds. He'd kill the body and overwhelm you with hard accurate punches. They were both classy boxer punchers. I think Emile would hold the edge. Emile by decision.
