well its just an accent difference, people from India - Pakistan most likely use Khuda Hafiz, after that when most of their priest informing that, these days in India most of the Hindu start saying Khuda, so all Muslim agreed to say ALLAH, because khuda will be any 1 else, but due to Holly Quran, ALLAH means GOD creator of all of us, 2nd part of your question, its just the ending words of any kind of conversation, meeting, visit, just as goodbye, instead of bye most of the sense able people says GOOD bye, so In Muslim believe they says bye under the protection GOD. Khuda / ALLAH means GOD, (HAFIZ) means under the protection.

allah is God. But God can not be used as much as possible because it is not just english but from the root word GOTH, a deity of the Vikings, i think.
Same as in Dios, which we in the phillipines sometimes used to mean Allah, but it's exact meaning, Dios or Diyos is inappropriate, since the root word is derived from ZEUS, a god in mythology.
So, Allah is to be used as much as possibe to address our creator, the owner of the universe, the most high, the most supreme.
