It depends on the circumstances, if it just so happens that they have been doing something with friends the past 6 weekends so they have had a few beers then no I would just say they are being social, especially if they haven't been getting drunk every time. There is nothing wrong with having a few beers as long as you're not getting drunk, if this person is getting drunk every time he/she drinks then yes there is probably a problem. You know your friend better than any of us, you have to be the judge.

There's a Saying That Goes....One Is Too Much, And A Thousand Is Not Enough!
Yes, Your Friend Is An Alcoholic. Of He/She May Not Accept This Being That They Only Drink On The Weekends. But That's How It Begins...Before They Know It The Weekends Will Begin On Friday, Then Thursday. Then Before They Know It The Whole Week Is A Weekend To Them.
Drinking Past Your Limit Is A Sure Sign Of An Alcoholic. Once Or Twice Is One Thing, But Overdoing Every time..Is A Sure Sign.
It's Nice To See Your Concern. Look Into AA Meetings, Find Some Pamphlets On The Program and Leave Them Within Eye Contact Of Your Friend..Or Even Show It To Them And Plant The Seed Of Recovery And Recognition Of Their Problem In Their Mind.
Good Luck And God Bless!!

Not really, this happens in college all the time, it's not true alcoholism necessarily. It's just not an easy diagnosis. A true alcoholic may even stop drinking for a while, a professional prob needs to determine that.
I knew LOTS of people in college that stopped all the binge driking when they finished school.

Doubt he will make probation if he gets wasted each and every nighttime. Drunks are a legal accountability to a chairman and characteristic a tendency to have adverse artwork behavior and severe unwell days. He needs to difficulty the thank you to maintain the activity, no longer celebrate daily for finally landing one after 2 years.

No, i wouldn't consider this person an alcoholic necessarily, a lot of students do this on a regualr basis and they're not alcoholics. If it starts to interfere with this person's daily activities then it would be a problem.

YES! That person is a budding alcoholic and he doesnt know it yet...
Work with him and see if you can deter him from drinking as it will turn his life around, and he wont suffer for the rest of his life.
If he does continue to drink...have him take a lot of potassium, because when an alcoholic drinks and urinates, they lose thier potassium and then, heart disease starts to set in! Drinking will screw up your heart big time!
I wish you well..

It sort of depends on the age, I mean if they are 21 and just in party mode then thats one thing but if they are 40 and drinking like that then I would say they have a problem.

that is a binge drinker. maybe alcoholic, maybe not.
but the point that he can't have "just a few beers", that he can't stop in the middle, is typical of alcoholics.

I would consider someone else.
An alcoholic person urges for bottles more than the partner or loves one, on my personal opinion.
