Easy!!!
First fill the 3 gallon bottle with water
Transfer this water to the five gallon bottle
Fill the 3 gallon bottle with water
Again transfer the water to the five gallon bottle
Now there is one gallon remaining in the three gallon bottle
Now pour out all the water from the five gallon bottle
The remaining one gallon of water in the 3 gallon bottle should be transferred to the five gallon bottle.
Fill the three gallon bottle again and transfer all its contents to the five gallon bottle.
There is now four gallons of water in the five gallon bottle.

Fill the 5 gallon bottle
Use it to fill the 3 gallon bottle, leaving 2 gallons in the 5 gallon bottle
Pour out the 3 gall bottle
Pour the 2 gallons (in the 5 gallon bottle) into the 3 gallon bottle
Fill the 5 gallon bottle again

the 3 gallon bottle will take 1 more gallon, leaving 4 gallons in the 5 gallon bottle

Fill the 3 gallon jug. Pour the water into the 5 gallon jug. 3 gallons of water. Fill the 3 gallon jug again. Pour it into the 5 gallon jug. That's 5 gallons in the 5 gallon jug and 1 gallon in the 3 gallon jug. Empty out the 5 gallon jug. Then pour the 1 gallon into the 5 gallons. Fill the 3 gallon jug one more time and pour it into the 5 gallon jug. That makes 4 gallons!
