i understand that i could put up a fence but i feel like i should not have to pay out a lot of money to keep her dogs off of my land! if i had dogs i would put a fence up, but since i have no dogs i shouldnt have to spend all that money! she should have to pay that to fence in her yard - they are HER dogs not mine!

Catch them and bring them to the pound yourself. Tell them you think they are strays and then your neighbor will either get off her butt and get them bailed out or they will get adopted out to someone who actually cares about their pets.

I don't mean to make light of your situation, this is not meant to be a joke.

Good fences make good neighbors.

This will help keep them out of your yard.
If you don't have a garage to park your car in you can gate part of your driveway along with your yard.

I know that it is an expense you should not have to incur. However at this point it sounds like you cannot do any more with her, the only thing that can be done is what you can do to protect your property.

I am a "dog person". We have three trained dogs, and I work at a training center. There are a lot of good people out there that are responsible owners. This case (as in most cases) it is the few that ruin it for the many.

Keep making the phone calls to the authorities.
If possible use your video camera (or borrow one) to document the incidents as they occur.
Eventually - with the proof, someone will listen to you.
Also you can get your neighbors to write statements to turn over to the authorities too.

If you do the things listed above, it will take time but something will get done.
If you do nothing - the same amount of time will go by, but with no results.

Good Luck.

Okay, try to talk to her more. Tell her the damages of the problem. Also if they damage many things and ruin cars you might need to take legal action if she doesn't do anything about it. Or you could put a fence up.

You can try and turn the hose on them when they are being disruptive. If they cause any real damage call the police there are laws for pet owners to follow. Good Luck!!!!

You should contact the authorities. Perhaps a hefty fine will straighten your neighbor up a bit.
