As for where to find the dog, why don't you go to the local animal shelter? I know it can be a sad experience, but adoption fees are very low, and you may be able to find the perfect dog.
A note on half-house dog: dogs are pack animals. When you get a dog, they become a "member of your pack". To them, that means that for safety and psychological well-being, they should be with you as much as possible - I don't mean that the dog should be tied to your hip, but that the dog should live in the house with the family. Otherwise, the dog can become agressive, unhappy, and have behavior problems. Please consider keeping him inside. If you can't, maybe consider a pet like a ferret instead. Ferrets, when played with often, act like kittens all their lives, and they ARE NOT related to rats. They're actually weasels.

Honestly kids should never get pets - eventually you will grow up and move out and what will happen to the dog?? very few landlords allow pets...
ALL pets should be FAMILY PETS - which means unless mom and dad want one and agree to care for it for its lifetime you shouldnt get a pet of any kind - this is unfair to do to your parents and even less fair to do to the dog....
save your money move out and buy a home so you can have as many pets as you like - thats what I did

I always get my pets from city shelters because it will save their lives. Tell your parents it would be good to have a dog that will bark when a stranger is around.

Try an animal shelter. They are relatively inexspensive and you'll be rescuing a dog! You may not be able to get a puppy, but I can guarantee you'll find a dog that will adore you for life. Your dog may have some training even, or you can train him/her completely yourself. try
www.petfinder.com - please, rescue a mut to adore you instead of pay for a dog to adore -
