I don't know if it works since I have never tried it, but I have always been told that tomatoe juice is good for removing skunk oder.

Put him in the tub or out in a metal tub made for outdoor washing of animals. Get yourself about 20 large cans of tomato juice from the grocery store. Get the coat really soggy with the tomato juice scrub it into the coat and let him stand there for about 20 minutes with this on him. Rinse with warm water. Then shampoo him 2xs with a strong scented dog shampoo. He is not going to like this so you may want to try and enlist some extra hands for holding the dogs in place. Really scrub him with the tomato juice any area that has been sprayed but not touched by tomato juice will still reek. We live in the country our dog finds a skunk just about every year. Hint: Do not let your dog out right after a rain storm. Skunks love to come out after a rain and this is usually when the dogs find them. Wait about 2-3 hrs after the storm before letting your dog out.

Do not use tomatoe juice it only masks the odors!!!1 quart (or liter) of 3% Hydrogen Peroxide, H2O2.
Use fresh (unopened) hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). Hydrogen peroxide eventually turns into water (H2O).
1/4 cup (50 ml.) of Baking Soda
1 teaspoon (5 ml.) of Liquid Soap
1 pair of plastic or latex gloves Let the mixture stand for 10 minutes or so before rinsing off. Do not get into dogs eyes and do not let log lick at it, may make him vomit. This is a remedy that I know works!

It's the same as a human. You are supposed to use tomatoe juice. The acid from the tomatoe juice eliminates the odour. You might have to do it more than once though. You buy a couple of big cans of tomatoe juice and pour them in a bathtub and give your dog a good rub down before you rinse him.

As gross as this is going to sound, put tomatoe juice in the bathtub. The acid helps kill the stench. I had to do that once. First the bath with the juice, and then another with regular soap to get the juice out. Trust me when I say though that tomatoe juice is a heck a lot easier to get out then some things I had suggested to me.

I know it sounds stupid but Tomato soup it happened to me and it took about 4-5 washings with soup, let it sit for a while, let the dog run, then rinse, more soup, more wait.......you get the pic But it will work eventually, but if you want a faster fix go to a pet store they have a shampoo, but it not cheap

I heard one of two things:
1) Tomato juice -- although it could turn your dog's fur pink for a while.
2) Minty toothpaste and leave it on for a day or so and then wash it off.

Pour v8 juice on the critter, or rub tomato paste into the coat. Rinse him off, and then pour vinegar on him. Wash then with his doggie shampoo. Better yet, take him to a doggie salon, let them deal with the stinky pup.

From a distance!!! Or I guess you could drive to the local car wash, strap the dog on the hood and drive through.
