We found this hotel on the Indianapolis motor speedway website, but can find no other info on the hotel anywhere. We're just curious about the neighborhood and if the hotel is clean. It is located on the east/southeast side of Indianapolis. Any info would be welcome.

A good one near the speedway is Wingate Hotel at 465 and Rockville Road. That is where we always send friends and family because it is close to our house. They have an awesome free breakfast. Bad news is that it is close to IMS, and likely sold out.

Also, maybe look for hotels in Plainfield, Greenwood, Avon, Brownsburg, Crawfordsville (a little far out but a straight shot to the IMS on I-74), and other suburban areas in Indy, but you're not likely to find anything on such short notice within 50 miles of here.

If it is on the East/South East side of Indy, then it is nowhere near the track. I've never heard of it. So it may be a dive. I could be wrong on that, though.

Edited to say:

I found out that hotel is at 465 and East Washington. That is a very bad area. I think it used to be a Signature Inn. But if you stay there, you will end up spending a whole lot more money trying to get to the track then if you stay closer to town.

both are older and about an identical. The Flamingo develop into presently renovated and maximum each and every thing in the rooms is now red. The Luxor will be better subdude. i have under no circumstances considered the Luxor pool area. The Flamingo has a smallish pool it really is shared with invoice's. also, they're in separate places yet they're somewhat no longer THAT a techniques aside. when you're coming off of the I-15 on the Flamingo go out you'll see the Luxor properly there and the Flamingo will be below a 5 minutecontinual away. So take your %..
