Tube steak is a lot like chicken cordon blue. It's a long piece of meat with creamy white cheese wrapped inside it. Steak is actually a misnomer, since the meat of tube steak is really long pig meat.
Since actually killing a long pig is illegal, you must leave the animal alive, which makes cooking impossible. Thus, to avoid the spread of food borne illnesses so common in uncooked meat, you just suck the creamy filling out, without actually eating the stick-shaped meat wrapper.
Male long pigs have a tube-like appendage between their legs which is perfect for loading with the creamy filling. It's a real treat. Your boyfriend must love you a lot if he's preparing such a feast, as many gourmet chefs are still unable to properly load a tube steak.
The serving sizes are usually a little bit small though. You might ask him if he's prepared some nice liver and fava beans to go with it, and request that he serve it with some nice italian wine to set off the flavors perfectly.

"tube steak" is another slang word for penis. you might want to look at all the other different slang terms of the penis and nick names that men have for thier manhood. He might get you on one of them...at least he didn't tell you that he had a "al day sucker", if he does...Don't treat it like a tootsie pop....
