You can either take Centrum Performance or regular Centrum. Anything that is only one pill a day or something minimal because too many vitamins can be very bad for you and can cause certain types of cancer. If you ask me, you should evaluate your diet and see what it is your eating and you will probably realize that you are getting enough vitamins as it is. Remember, only use a small supplement and that should be plenty. Too much of a good thing can kill you.

are you asking about what everyone takes or what vitamins are essential for human body? if it's the first one, it depends on a person. I take Women's One-A-Day and Flax seed oil (it's good for blood and joint liquid, and I have a history of arthritis in family).

about the essential vitamins, here is a short outline for you (I put the vitamin, what you need it for and how much per day you need to take).
A (healthy skin) - 1mg
D (healthy bones) - 2.5 mg
B1 (healthy intestines) - 1 to 2.0 mg
B2 (healthy lips and eyes) - 1.5 to 2.4 mg
B6 (healthy hair and nails) - 2.0 mg
E (healthy sex life) - 10 mg
about vitamin C I can only say that there's almost no maximum because it breaks up in your body lightning fast.

if you want to know the natural sources of those vitamins, let me know, I'll tell you.
