If you know anything about this name, or even possible variants of it, anything at all, please tell me.

It's supposed to be Russian, the surname of one of my great grandparents.

I've tried many, many different variants with no luck whatsoever....

Osherenkoff, Osherenkof, Osherenkov, Oscherenkoff, Oscherenkof, Oscherenkov, Ascherenkoff, Ascherenkof, Ascherenkov, Asherenkoff, Osherinkov, Usherenkoff, etc

The only thing that brings up any kind of hits leaves off the final "ff"....

Osherenko and Usherenko

I've put both these names into google in two separate searches with the word, genealogy, and come up with some things. But leaving off a "ff" or its possible variants at the end bothers me. I'm hoping there's a slavic name expert (I'm guessing this name is Russian, Ukranian or the like) reading your question who will know a lot more than I.

Sorry I can't be of much more help than this.

My best to you

Bill
