ah, i am in the same boat, friend. i'm starting to date again after 18 months of nothing and don't know if i'm even able to stick it out for this one if it's heading anywhere. my only tip is for you to not let yourself scare yourself out of something which could be potentially great. i hate that feeling of lost confidence in something, but if we don't rely too heavily on it, it's easier to take when things fall through and easier to be less hard on ourselves. so try and take dating real lightly right now and only put full value on it when things are getting really serious.
don't lose all confidence! i love men, they don't have to be perfect or super confident, just themselves. you can be a bit unsure and it's fine.. it just might take you some time to get the hang of it. you are still young too, so don't give up. just remember that staying at home won't find you a great girl to hang out with so get outside and start showing your face.
god bless

get off the roof and dont jump
dont worry about... stats tell us that most relationship that start after the age of 26 or 27 last where ones that are of a yonuger age will not last.... so now is when you can find a good relationship... you are young and dont need to search very hard... im 38 right now and i find women my age much more interesting and exciting than the girls when i was 20, 25 or 28... women are like fine wine... the older the better... to a point LOL
so dont stress over it... you will find a lucky girl and it will work out just right... you dont want a serious relationship yet after a difficult break up... even thou it was 8 mths ago... go have some fun and fun will find you

You shouldn't lose your confidence after 1 failed relationship. You may find what you're looking for if you just put yourself out there and make a move! Your dating life could take-off if you just gave it a push.
As they say, there are more fish in the sea. Who knows, maybe you'll find someone you want to spend the rest of your life with. So, go for it! Don't look back! :)

Regardless of whose fault or the circumstances that linger from your past relationship, you need to learn from past mistakes to be a better person than before and be reassured your next relationship will not suffer because of the last one...You are probably dwelling on the bad issues and painful results...its time to learn from this and look forward to a better, healthier love life than before...good luck.

Im 27 and have had my fair share of bad relationships... i spent two years single (through my own choice)
My advise is get back to being yourself... stop changing who you are to make other people happy!!! once you learn to love and respect yourself.. you will find true love... but not until...

if you really think youre ready to date again start looking around. look confident. and regain your confidence. if you get rejected again just know that they weren't the one. the old saying really is true
it is better to have loved and lost, then to never have loved at all.
i know because i had to learn the same thing
good luck!

go out and meet as many ladies as you can. You don't necessarily have to get into a deep relationship at first just talk to a lot and one pacific one might catch your attention :) hope i helped.
