i think it means the attraction is gone.. you may look the same as befor or even better but if there is no atrraction theres no spark it doesnt men their not still in love with you just not attracted or as attracted to you anymore...

My best friend is a guy and he said that about his marriage. I asked him to elaborate and it was basically that she didn't excite him in the bedroom anymore. She didn't try new things or be seductive anymore.
She talked with her friends and did some research on new positions and techniques and they are back and better than ever.

Hes actually saying he is bored in the relationship. He doesn't feel anything is exciting or spontaneous anymore. The Fire has gone out of it!

It means that the flame{burning desire} that he once had for you has burnt out!!!!!He no longer has the yearning for you that he once had therefore he no longer wants to be with you because the passion and love has whithered up and died!!!
