If she has rice like worms, those are tapeworms. cats get those from fleas. Over the counter dewormers will not usually take care of those. You will need to get a dewormer from your vet. DO NOT give your cat the dog dewormer. It is usually dosed out depending on weight and I am sure you cat does not weigh as much as a dog. Then get your cat on a flea preventative to prevent her from getting tapeworms.

Its tape worm and you will need to get something specific for tape worms from the vet. Most over the counter and basic deworms don't do tape. You should be able to take a stool sample into your vet.

The rice-like segments you are seeing are tapeworms. Most vets will dispense a one-time pill for tapeworm.

Just know, tapeworms are passed from the dead prey your cat may be eating when she's outside. So she will continue to be reinfected with tapeworm as long as she's outside.

Bringing her inside is the best thing for her!

Don't give it to her. Dogs and cats are completely different. Take her to the vet. If you can't afford your vet, at least go to a decent pet store and ask for help there.

I dont see why not. you should have asked the person at the store or at a pet store nearby. Maybe call your vet and see if you can ask over the phone.
