This Annoys Me Alot ! please people why is this happening to us !?

I am a 16 year old Muslim girl ! and where ever i go i find out that alot of people keep saying annoying things about arabs and muslim people they say that we are terrorists and tht we solve our proplems with violence ! they say arab people are away from civilisations ! they say tht we just wanna kill people and tht this is written in our Quran ! they say tht we treat women in a bad way and we have no value for non-muslim people ! this is driving me crazy cuz they say all these stuff without knowing anything about us ! Terrorist people have NO relegion cuz no relegion says tht it's ok to kill people ! those terrorists hide behinde the name of islam to make people hate us and think tht isalm is a relegion of violence ! this is so unfair ! u dont wanna know how it feels like to be hate by alot of people by sth you didnt do ! u shouldnt hate muslims in general ! cuz there's alot of good muslims who just want peace!!
I just want ur openion cuz this been eating me ! sorry for my english !

Most of evolved people know that most of Muslims are respectable persons :-)

Unfortunately, there are fanatics & terrorists in ALL religions, and even though they are a very little minority, they have a deep impact on people's view.

I'm really sorry that you hear this stuff. While there are terrorists out there, it's not you or Muslims in general. People associate things way too fast, and that has caused people like you to have to put up with a lot you shouldn't have to put up with. They also look at single parts of the Quran and go by the one line they might see. Christians (such as myself) should know that you can't do that, because the same is true with the Bible. Anyway, although I don't believe everything you do, I think your religion is very respectable based on the little I know about it.

Doubt it will help but I don't hate you. I don't know anyone who hates Muslims. But that may be due to hanging around in circles of 'British Christians'. Granted, I know not nearly as much as I think I ought to about Islam, but even I know what you said above. War against terrorism is stupid, you only have to look at who funded all the IRA to see that. Oh would that be America funding the terrorists then? Oh it might be. Oh and look, they're Catholic and not Muslim. Well, there you go.
(Sorry, sarcasm directed at America, not at you me dear.) It's a crappy world out there at the moment. I really hope that things get more peaceful between religions, but while there are power mad lunatics out there using the excuse of religion in which to incite racial hatred then unfortunately I can't see a time where propaganda won't influence people. *sigh* And that's for any country - well, muslims in christian countries, christians in muslim countries. And that's just two religions. Sorry, I think I'm going a little bit stream of conciousness now. Anyhow, rest assured that not everyone hates muslims. not everyone thinks that terrorists are representative of the entirity of Islam.

You must understand that the practice of religion itself, especially if just accepted because it"s the parents' religion, can not guarantee you the best in life. That is why some mature people who think that the religion they pratice is not in agreement with their personal beliefs tend to be converted to other religion they think is fitting. Religion lasts because it teaches the good things in life. There are good Christians as well as Islam, that is why these two religions flourished to become two great religions of the world. But if you will study history, you will be surprised that Islam, Christians and Jews are all brothers (and sisters). Their great ancestors point to the same Adam and Eve. who was created by God. They all believe in the same God, but practiced their belief differently. Many people had died because of belief or unbelief. Some people hate others who practice different religion. And some terrorists kill behind the name of religion. To tell you friend, I am a Christian catholic, but I have a lot of Islam, Buddhists, Hindu, Mormons and Chrisitian protestant friends. I have study, work and play with them. Yes, your religion is good just like the others, and I believe no religion in the world teaches hatred to their followers. They all teach, peace, hope and love to have happiness and comforts in life Imagine this friend, I still believe that the right time will come when we will have one religion, and have that elusive peace!

There are about one billion Muslims world-wide, but only a few thousand Muslim extremist terrorists. These people hardly represent the Muslims from a mathematical viewpoint. As for their conduct, they represent 0% of what Islam is all about.

The media is partly at fault for the misconceptions, but the people who are too lazy-brained to do their own learning are at fault too. They hear and follow blindly, so pity them. Humans have a mind to USE, from the cradle to the grave, so those who persecute like this aren't using their minds, they are just parroting what they see in the media. Really, pray for them because it's so sad to be so shackled by ignorance of this magnitude.

It's fear and prejudice. Many people fear what they do not understand, and associate whatever fears they do have with media hype. Because most of the terrorist organizations claim the Muslim faith as they're reasoning for wanting to kill the so-called infidels, people automatically reason that all Arab and Muslims believe that way. There are many fanatical religious sects in the world, belonging to all religions and cultures. Although I feel sorry for you and your annoyance, it's probably going to take some time for people to get over their prejudices and embrace the Arab people and their culture.

People often forget that the majority of followers of a faith are good people when only 1 or 2 commit evil acts. Look at how much abuse hard core Christians took when 1 or 2 started killing doctors who perform abortions. And don't get me started on how much us Wiccans have suffered by other faiths. I think one of the biggest problems is that too many religions teach their followers that the other faiths are wrong so they are afraid to even find out what their message is. I think if we actually took some time to listen and see what everyone is about then we might start to get along better.

I know where you're getting at. It's just like everyone thinks Africa is just about povery and undevelopment because of what is on t.v. and it drives me bananaz when people say stuff like that. (I come from South Africa). Media is cruel, and because the terrorists are 'muslim' they try and give it a bad name. I've had a few muslim friends and they were awesome. Just prove everyone wrong then they'll see the light. I told people that South Africa isn't all huts and no electricity, then when someone ask them what they think of the place they'll tell what it's exactly like.

Dear, you Muslims are going to have to stand up to Islam and clean it out. You must remove all factions of hatred from it. If you do not-Islam will kill many Muslims and Arabs. If it were not for the unprovoked hatred for Jews, Christians, and Americans within Islam-there would be no war in the Middle East.
