My husband and I want to start going back to church, we come from a non-denominational Christian background. The church we used to attend is in another state (we moved). Some aquaintences have recommended Calvary Chapel, are they non-denominational? Any onpinions? Thanks!

Calvary Chapel has become a group of affiliated churches numbering over 500.

They are a strong Bible believing church and it would be a great church to belong to.

They love Jesus and they follow whatever the Bible says, pretty much like most non-denominational churches.

Go to the above web site and put your zip code in.

I would also recommend Assembly of God churches.

There are quite a few Calvary Chapels. The famous one is supposed to be a good church with a fine Pastor named Chuck Smith. Is this the one you mean? http://www.calvarychapel.com

If you're ever in the Bay Area, come by and visit my non-denominational church @ http://www.alcf.net
