You can teach children love and stuff without forcing them to talk to a figment of their imagination.
But, even that seperation of church and state thing doesnt work. Sure, it causes lawsuits everyonce in a while, but religion is everywhere, even in school. You cant run from it :O

I'm with you on the separation idea, and thanks, it is and was a good idea but what is the deal with you Brits and Americans? Second time in 2 days I've seen this bigotry. And now I'm a bigot, just for classifying all of you in the same vein. And I happen to know a couple of fine Brits so I know it isn't all of you. I've already threatened one with an atomic wedgie and another I am going to poke right in his eye, I'm running out of retaliatory gestures, but I'm smart, if I have too I can think of more. So knock it off already. Peace.

Yes I did know. As an outsider with great affection for the good people of the UK, I've always thought that a weakness in the system. Indeed, let's say NO TO DOGMA!

It's better to teach them how to have faith in something/someone greater then all of us, than have them not to beleive at all, and end up following the wrong path.
You said not force prayer upon them, what are u doing now is forcing your beleive upon others by posting this website. Is it so wrong in your eyes that we/others beleive in Jesus/God? Do it bother you we/others have faith in something greater and it give us faith/releif/outlook on a better world to come. God is around you and all of us, no matter if you beleive it or not, His keeping you safe and gave you the freedom to be who you are today. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ 'cause His our Savior and source of Pure Love.

Boy, you are on a crusade! I will pray for you.
What do you mean by communal worship? Do they force children to bow down or simply ask them to join in prayer?
Is it really that awful to pray?

If we'd only known there was an upside to a Monarchical system we would have stuck it out with King George.
