how do ducks make their own puddles?

Ducks really do this but i need to know the scientific name for it.

Dogs do it as well. I don't know if it has a specific scientific name, but I know quite a few local ones!

After a swim they get out & shake. They do this untill they have a puddle just right for them to play & keep cool.
