will it be thought of in a thousand years as a new bible, seriously think about it,if i sat down and put all my "predictions" down on paper, and used names in the book as others did, will i be considered the word of god to the people that find it,honestly think about it thats what the bible is right?years after jesus passed is when it was written, correct?theguys who wrote it are considered "prophets" right?well if i declare myself a prophet as they did, which they did,it was proven they were guessing at best, half the things they said would happen, have never occured when they said it would, not being a jerk here,im really serious, wouldnt it be the same as none of us were alive then to prove these guys werent crazy fools, with strange ideas, maybe im wrong just asking

Sorry, you missed that boat. It's all about fun new angles nowadays. New spins on old stories. Other craziness.

Joseph Smith kind of beat you to following in the Biblical authors' footsteps. L. Ron has beaten you to making crazy stories. Whoever that wiccan guy was has beaten you at making up some nonsense that is broadly refers to ancient traditions and the like.

You need a new angle.

first of all you need a class in theology. You don't know squat about the bible...all religion aside. The bible was also written down before Jesus was born. HELLO...THE OLD TESTAMENT. Also, the bible was not written down one night after Jesus died during a poker game like you are making it out to be. It was written over several hundreds of years by different men. They were not all prophets either. The books of Mathew, Mark, Luke and John were not prophets...they were historical writers of the bible, each telling his story on the account of Chirst. The prophets you are talking about were not guessing. They were writing what God was wanting them to. They talked on how a savior was coming in the old testament. Isaiah (he was a prophet) 53 talks about it. It is too long to write it all down but look it up and see how it compares to Jesus Christ. No one could do that...even you. Doesn't it impress you at all that all these different writers from all walks of life and hundreds years apart had pretty much the same thing to say about God? There is no way where over a hundred years several men can get together and write about the same thing. It can't happen. God did it...not man. don't be so ignorant!

Catholicmom...you need to do some brushing up too. You said the bible doesn't make predictions...read up on Isaiah where he PREDICTS THE COMING OF THE SAVIOR and REVELATION where it PREDICTS THE END TIMES! DANIEL is another book on predictions.

So do you realize what would happen to you? I mean what you are basically saying is you would be "adding" to the Bible. Well that is strictly forbidden according to the Bible. Yeah I know we could do down a whole nother road on that one but let's just believe that that was a legit thing. Also who considers The Book of Latter Day Saints to be anything? I mean isn't that basically what they were trying to do with it but outside the Mormons who takes this as a real addition to the Bible.

Most of the Bible was written before the birth of Jesus. The new testament was written not many years after His death, maybe just 50 years. The book of Job is believed to be the earliest, maybe 3000 years or more old. (predating Moses).

Sorry but your book wouldnt pass the test that the Bible passes. Obviously you dont know the Bible. If you are really serious sit down and read the whole Bible through. If you truly do this and still think you can do it then power to you.

Awesome question. I think the same thing all the time. I don't understand how a book with some stories and rules in it became so powerful. I wouldn't believe something just cause I read it or someone told me it was true. Just doesn't make sense

There have been many books written over the centuries. I do not know of any that has stood the test of time like the bible.

No, this is a good question. If you wrote a book and it was dug up. Anything could happened. Go for it and don't forget to include pictures. Maybe this time you can make god into your image.

you'll be thrown in the gutter along with the book (j.k.o.k)

prophecy did not come by people deciding to be prophets.
they were ordained by God in the sight of all the people.
Everyone KNEW they were prophets (e.g. Samuel)

With a good enough spin job it can become the scriptures of a new religion in a decade or two.
