If the above doeson't work, configure Outlook, Thunderbird to download your mail on your system --- of course configure the above Mail Clients to remember your password.
Remember Yahoo's session expires after a certain amount of time it you don't logoff unlike Google...so if you're using it you're safe :)

as has been said u can set it to remember your id n password or another way is to use a free programme called eprompter ,which informs you when u have emails and supports yahoo and hotmail and more than one mail account.
dont think ive explained it very well but give it a try its a small programme n works well .

It's a security feature, you have to re-enter your password every so often to protect your account. You shouldn't have to re-enter your ID though, tick the "Remember me" box next time you log on.
