Explain to me why some pretty women walk around with the meanest look on your face. I mean why don't you smile? Is it because you don't want guys hitting on you?

ok some of these answers are getting way off track. my bad for saying "pretty ladies," i mean ladies in general. i am not trying to hit on every woman i see. if you don't have a decent answer than don't answer this please. i want serious answers. i am just wondering by the way.

Maybe they were having a bad day. Could it be that the ugly girls have this face too but you just don't notice? Only noticing the pretty faces?

I asked a pretty woman that one day and she asked me, "Youv'e never had a bad day?" I smiled and said, "I never thought of it like that". We went on to have a long conversation over milkshakes and she explained to me that just because she was beautiful (she explained it in a very humble way) that didn't make her have no problems in life, sure it made life a little eaiser in some aspects but sh!t still happens. In her case her mother has been in a car accident across the country in Seattle and although she was going to be fine the timing was horrible and she couldn't go see her because her daughter had just got chicken pocks. So I hope this answers your question.
BTW she ended up marrying my best friend a couple yrs later.

For me, it is to keep away unwanted advances and to keep from being man-handled by men, some old enough to be my father. In social situations, I have a strict one drink policy, nursing the second drink literally all night. I have a tendency to get sick after 6 drinks! So, at the end of the party, I'm the only one who is stone cold sober. It has come in handy many time with "pussy cats" who turn into "raging tigers" when drunk. If you come on to me like I am a lady who demands respect, then, we'll talk; otherwise, GET LOST!

Because most fo the pretty women know that they are pretty and have a really ugly soul. My sister is that way, pretty on the out side ugly on the inside. She doesn't smile at all.

It could be the mood she is already in. I also think that some girls just have facial expressions that appear to be mean. Sometimes I talk to people who are as happy as can be but their facial expression doesn't seem it....some people just don't "look" as happy as others! :)
I don't think my answer was offtrack. When you say mean look, you don't mean ugly...you just mean a disgusted look. As I said...some people look that way naturally. And if they don't then they are probably missing out on a lot because they probably offend other people too.

In the first place, all ladies don't owe all guys a smile.
Don't take it too personally.
Either they('re)...
1. mean; or
2. having a bad day; or
3. just don't feel like smiling; or
4. cautious so as not to mislead people that they're interested in them or something; or
5. just looking mean to protect themselves from being taken advantage of; or
6. just do not have the habit of smiling
7. have something in their mind (as in preoccupied)
8. simply look mean when they don't smile
9. simply not interested...

If a pretty girls smiles at a guy, they'll say, "wow, she thinks I'm hot! she wants me!" and this may or may not be the case.
If they don't smile, it's "wow, she's so stuck on herself! who does she think she is???"
Are you seeing my point? Can a pretty woman win here???

es we are pretty so chances of a guy hitting on us is above average. We have got to have the mean look to keep you at bay.

That may be one of the reasons. Also, they may have been burnt (REAL BAD) not too long ago, and are scared of getting into another relationship right away.
