I am and don't understand why meat eaters need an opinion.
This is just a matter of personal choice.

I think vegetarians are neither better nor worse than meat eaters. I do know that one person living a vegetarian lifestyle stops as much CO2 being put into the environment and deteriorating the ozone layer as the savings from someone who drives a Hummer switching to a compact hybrid vehicle. I also know that the land and energy required to feed one person who eats meat can feed over ten vegetarians. And contrary to what many meat eaters believe, it is very simple to get all of the protein, vitamins, and minerals from not eating meat and there are endless delicious vegetarian dishes. Some stereotype vegetarian food as boring and tasteless; most I've had is far from either. So, I appreciate all the good that vegetarians contribute to helping the environment and allowing more people to be fed off of the same amount of land. I am not 100% vegetarian, but eat meat very rarely. What had the biggest impact on me was finding out how the animals that feed us are treated, such as chickens having their beaks painfully cut off, and cows that provide milk being made into milk machines and hardly ever being able to move with their grossly overstretched udders. After doing quite a bit of research, I found out that even "free range" chicken can mean that amongst thousands of chickens, there might only be a few square feet of outdoor space; it does not mean that they feed off of the "range". And in most chicken farms, the level of amonia amongst where the chickens are kept is far above the level considered safe for humans by the FDA. And with milk, getting too much calcium has numerous health detriments, aside from all of the hormones given to the cows that are passed along when we consume milk.

I am a vegetarian ( A veggie is something you pick off a plant). I made the final transition about 2 years ago when I gave up fish and chicken.

One of the reasons some vegetarians try to make omnivores feel bad about what they are doing is because omnivores are constantly telling vegetarians to go against their convictions and beliefs.

I don't like veggies enough to be a strict vegetarian, but have started trying to have a lot more vegetarian meals. Some vegetarians are way too arrogant and act like they are better for some reason...other than those who act that way, vegetarians are just choosing a different type of diet.

Horses, Elephants are veggies. So, its a myth that meat eating provides stamina and strength to a person.

IMHO, human body is not made to digest meat very easily. It takes a longer time for the Human Digestive Systemt to metabolise meat.

This results in sluggishness of the brain.

Being a veggie is good.

Veggie is good. I decide i am a vegetarian every so often. I like eating vegetarian for thanksgiving.

Vegetarians are good as long as you are smart about it. my roommate for instance wanted to be vegetarian to lost weight and after a month she started getting sick because she wasn't smart about what she ate.

My opinion is a very liberal live and let live, go ahead and don't eat a cow, or eat one, it doesn't matter, just don't give me grief when i want to eat or not eat an animal.

Nothing wrong with vegetarians, I often can go a whole week without eating meat. The only time I dislike vegetarians is when they try and make out that you are cruel, nasty and calous because you choose to eat meat.

Each to their own, I don't harp at veggies cos they don't eat meat.

This is a purely personal observation. The vegetarians I have known in my life seem a bit “spacey” or like they get some sort of natural high from not eating meat. Who knows, maybe that is the way we should be!

Isn't it wonderful that we live in a time that we can Choose the food we prefer not to eat! I'm am glad we aren't just looking for ANYTHING that we can eat!

Can't stand veggies or fruits. So if one can live off of them, more power to that person. For me, if there was no pasta in the world or bread for sandwiches, I'd end up starving to death.

I think they are excellent in stew. LOL j/k

Me personally, I don't think I could do it, I love meat. Eggplant can come close, but it still isn't a steak.
Vegetarians are okay with me as long as they aren't shoving their beliefs down my throat. I don't do it to them and just want the same courtesy. My sister-in-law was a vegetarian for several years and it was fine with me. My only concern was to make sure she took supplements to get her vitamins and stuff.
