Honestly, the best thing you can do it make an appointment with a vet. They will ask you to bring a stool sample with you. Only THEY can truly diagnosis the problem. They will put your dog on the medication it needs. People on here can only guess what's going on. A veteranarian is trained and that's what your dog needs. After all, if there was blood in your stool, wouldn't you see a doctor? Hope all is well........call TODAY!!!

That happens when they eat something that upsets their stomach & intestinal lining. It's called colitis. The intestine is swollen up & bleeds. You can give him pepto bismol, small dogs only a teaspoon, larger dogs can have a tablespoon. Really big dogs can have human dose. Give it to him every three hours, for a total of 3 times. Do not give any food or water during this time. Then start him back onto a bland diet (boiled chicken breast & boiled white rice), do that for 48 hrs. You can switch him back to his old diet , you might want to add the chicken and rice to his food for a few days just to transition him. If this for some reason does not work, then you would need to take him in to get some bloodwrok done.
