As soon as you find a supernatural thing someone is going to come up with a good scientific explanation for it and might even reproduce it, all without invoking god(s).

i don't believe in god... however, i do believe in something because:
1) telepathy is proven possible
2) life is proven to exist beyond chemical structure - i saw pictures of an experiment done by a kid for school. measuring the difference between water boiled in a sauce pan and water boiled in a micro wave, used to water cuttings from the same plant.
the cutting watered with microwave water shrivilled and died with in days whilst the saucepan water continued to live. if the water was tested by science they would be both exactly same. but it is undeniable that something had changed in the micorwave boiling process that affected the water so that it no longer added value to the plant.... if you friend can explain what that change was in order to up hold his athiest beliefs... i think i will be truely impressed!
