I don't question my beliefs, I believe in Jesus Christ crucified for the forgiveness of my sins. I study and search about my beliefs everyday through prayer, church attendance and readin my Bible. I know what I believe as a United Methodist because I have studied our church doctrines and understand what they mean to me. I say and have studied the meaning of the Apostles Creed which is one of the professions of faith that we use in the United Methodist church.
" I believe in God the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ His only son our Lord, who, was concieved by the Holy Spririt, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontias Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried, on the thrid day he arose from the quick and the dead an ascended into heaven where he sits at the right hand of God. I believe in the holy catholic(meaning church as a whole-look up the word catholic not as the name of a religion)church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sin , and life everlasting"
I also believe in the need to love others, respect their feelings and needs, to honor my parents because they deserve it, to do my best to care for the dying people and their families whom I serve through my job as a hospice nurse. I believe in my country and the freedoms that so many people have fought and died for so that I can go on a forum like this and discuss what I believe. I believe in doing what I can to make the world a better place to live in. I believe, after having lived through Hurricane Katrina in the compassion and goodness of others to help those in crisis and am working to do all I can to be that kind of person.

Some of us do. I consider life a lesson. I am constantly learning about life, what I believe and reaffirming that belief. Nothing I have learned so far has conflicted with my faith.Don't make assumptions as none of us really "know" the other.

I think in Christianity it's been a method used by churches to control the flock. The minute anyone starts to question, it rocks the boat and heaven forbid we think for ourselves!!! That's exactly why I don't buy into organized religion. I guess I like to think for myself and not be forced to believe something just because others do. It's the ultimate form of freedom.........

why do people go along with what other people say about another person especially if its negative, or do something that goes against their beliefs. People just find it hard to stand up and question another persons idea. they would rather go along with the flow of things and not be criticized against. Everyone wants to belong, even if it means sacrificing who they really are deep down inside.

the real question would be why are people afraid of others questioning their beliefs...they can question others all day long, but let somebody else turn the questions around on them..."uh, well, uh, uh, just because"

I don't question what I believe, maybe because I don't believe in any religion.

questioning their beliefs lead to other questions that they may not be able or ready to face.....like how they came to that belief......whom influenced their beliefs...and so on
