Yes!
Family is just a gathering of related people.
They come in all types, sizes and perosnalities. You cannot get on with all people and they cannot all get on with you.
How to cope?
Relate as much as you can, keep a distance when you must.
Its harder with family because you are forced into some association with them.

Yes, unfortunately I have a step daughter that has just messed with my family so much that her dad had to send her back to her mom's house b/c of all the trouble she was in here at our house. It went on for 3-4 years and we had enough. Now she is doing the same thing back at her mom's house and her mom is getting fed up. All b/c she got hooked up with the wrong group of friends. She even cussed at her dad and said not so nice things.

Anyone who says "yes" needs to learn about pure forgiveness and activate that immediatly. I used to have this problem, but with time and maturity I like all of my relatives. Don't tell anyone but my Mother in Law, bless her heart just rubs me the wrong way. She just SAYS the wrong stuff and assumes too much. But I um... love her...I need to like her a lot more but I don't know if that will ever happen. She's scowling at me in pictures all over my house. You call that a SMILE? I think "not."

Yes, a sister. I'm 53 yrs old and haven't liked her since the day she was brought home from the hospital!! She's 49.

There are a few that I don't spend much time with. One has a bad
habit of lieing to make himself look good...it doesn't work. Everyone one has know him all of his life. His wife is nutty, so I avoid them as much as possible.

Yes 2 cousins. Both are arrogant, smug troublemakers. I don't make it a point to keep in contact with them.

unfortunately, there are two members of my family who treat our father and everyone else badly. there is alot of bad blood and i for one will not try any harder than i already have. they do not want to be ignored either and that is sad.
