Both accounts say King Saul fell on his own sword. The wording is slightly different but the information is still the same; Saul asked his Armour bearer to thrust him through with the sword after being wounded by the enemy in battle because he did not want to suffer at the hands of the Philistines as a prisoner.

The servant (Armour bearer) was afraid and did not do it. Saul fell on his own sword.

King SAul was killed by a stray srrow that hit him in a battle with the phillistines. One of his nearby allies took it upon himself to put the king out of his misery, and then was later killed by david for aiding in the death of god's anointed one.
