The pretty girls usually put up a "***** shield" because they tend to think they are better then everyone else.
That they are to good to talk to certain people.
That unless the guy is hot and gorgeous then they feel like they don't need to pay attention to the guy, they are above them.
They don't intend to give him the time of day.
They act like a ***** to make him just go away and not take up space around them.
They usually have their own little click and if you don't fit into the click then they treat you as if you don't exist and how dare you speak to them.........LOL

Beautiful women and men for that matter are legends in their own minds.

Is this right? No it isn't but it is just a fact of life.

And there is a difference between being defensive and a ***** compared to an attractive woman just being shy and not wanting to talk to you or anyone.
There are women who are beautiful and don't know they are (when they look in the mirror THEY see just an ordinary person with ordinary looks)
Then there are beautiful women who know (or think) they are beautiful and treat men and others like they are better then anyone else.
And I have seen some real dogs( physically ugly) that in their own minds they are beautiful ( looks wise) and treat people like ****. Those are the women that you really want to knock in the head and tell them to get a reality check...........LOL

Often in the workplace, women have to put up a front in order to get the job done with as little distraction as possible. I worked retail a year and did the whole shield thing because I was married. Flirting at work is often inappropriate to a certain degree. Also, with as much focus on legal suits and sexual harassment as there is today in the workplace, any kind of interaction beyond professionalism is sometimes too risky to take in a job.

Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, to be cliche... personality is far more important in the long run. Think Beatles "When I'm 64".

OK, i can only answer for myself.. but i avoid getting hit on by all the "wrong men" .. like it's being said its a conquest! . and u guys tend to think this is some kind of contest! , so were tired of giving chances, so we put on the ***** face! and move on. Until, we find someone worth giving time too!

Many woman are just shy, introverted and/or absent-minded (that is my case), but they look distant and bitx because men like you don't want to make the effort and judge them just because of what they decide they are not for what they are.
