Evolution just look at all the evidence to support it:
Fossil Evidence
Using fossils we can see how creatures have evolved through time.

Take the cephalopods for example a sort of squid like creature in a shell.

First of all there was the nautiloids who had a shell with just 1 curl in there shell.

Then there was the goniatite which had a spiral shell.

Then there was the ammonites who had more spiral shells and other such features like ribs on the shell.

Then the spiral shell began to uncoil.

You can see evolution in all kinds of fossils another good one is graptolite evolution but you can go with anything and see a creature evolving over time.

Australia

Australia was joined to the rest of the world but was pulled apart from it by plate tectonics. When this happened fossils show us that marsupials where the dominant type of animal on the planet. Then Australia separated and the conditions there remained constant and so the marsupials didn’t evolve any further as they didn't need to and the gene pool was also allot smaller so there was less chance of random mutation. However in the rest of the world conditions did chance and so the marsupials had to evolve into other things mostly primates and so primates are now the dominant group on the planet apart from in Australia which still has its marsupials. The same applies with Madagascar and its lemurs.

Also in Europe alcoholic beverages have been brewed and consumed for centuries so the people of Europe have the enzymes required to cope with digestion of the alcohol. However the Aboriginal people have never brewed alcohol so they have never needed the enzyme to digest it and now alcohol poisoning is the main cause of death in the Aboriginal population. This shows that where alcohol is consumed the body evolves the ability to produce enzymes to deal with it but not if alcohol isn't present.

Really Australia doesn't prove evolution it just acts as one big control group allowing us to see how things change elsewhere proving evolution.

Evolution Happening Now
It is possible to see many things evolve right in front of you.

The main one of these is antibiotic resistance in bacteria. If you expose bacteria to antibiotics but don't kill it, it evolves a resistance to the antibiotics meaning it can't be killed by them. This is a major problem in medicine as antibiotics are our main way of fighting bacteria caused illness.

Another recent one is head lice. Most head lice are now unaffected by the most common active ingredient in head lice shampoo. Evolution on your head.

Finches on the Galapagos islands have evolved smaller beaks to get at different seeds after being out competed by a larger type of finch that arrived about 20 years ago.

Now there is proof of evolution staring you right in the face.

And what evidence is there to support the theory of god? a story book and thats it. Evolution=fact, god= fiction. FACT!
Say No To Jesus

Sue,

Evolution, is a theory, about which we spend a great deal of time arguing. Each side, claims the high ground, and sneers down at those who disagree. What a pity. God, however, is the Creator, and Foundation of all possible Reality. When all of the pathetic arguments of mankind have been long forgotten, God will still be there, as He always has been. The problem for us, is that we just don't know what to do with Him. If we believe in Him, then we feel constrained to try to fit into His way of life (according to the ideas of men). If we deny His existence, then we think that we are free to do as we please, and the devil take the hindmost, so to speak. Unfortunately, neither of these approaches will take you where you need to be. Jesus, came to this world 2000 years ago, to bring a message to the human race. It was both simple, and elegant: "The Kingdom of God, is within you". Sadly, this message has been lost in the junk pile of man made religions. When we come to God as humble children, and invite Him into our hearts, He sends His Spirit into us, and bonds with us. We literally become new creatures, part mortal, part Immortal. The old values of materialism and fear, fall away. Love and Wisdom, become the foundation of all our choices. We have embarked on the Path of Eternity, and we will never be the same again. This, is evolution, in it's highest form. You ask what is true? There is only one way to find out. Examine the lives of those who deny God's existence, and also those who live the superficial lives of religious hypocrites. You will see by the fruit they bear, that neither group has any ground to stand on. Now, if you are lucky enough in your lifetime, to run into a genuine Child of God, in whom God's Spirit dwells, you will have your answer. If I may humbly suggest, why don't you seek Him out, and find out for yourself? When you have taken Him as your Father, and marvel at the changes that take place in your life, all your doubts wil be removed forever.

"evaloution"

Well, one thing that's true for sure is that people do appreciate good spelling,

...especially when one has a spell checker.........

However, here's a radical answer, let us suppose that a Divine Intelligence or Designer started the whole thing off, as most scientists now believe, and that along the way many life forms "evolve," as most scientists now believe, and therefore, there isn't really any conflict here at all............

evaloution is science fiction! God is the answer.

Evolution has all but been proven, so it's pretty much true. It's not whether you believe it or not, it's whether you decide to believe the fact that it's true or not.

But I believe in a God, a Goddess, AND evolution.

Oh, and it may be a "theory"...but to be a theory, 92% of world scientists must except it, so it's not a bunch of crap.

Why can't it be both? If God is eternal, and time is relative then 6 days of "God's time" could be eons of ours. Maybe he/she/they guided things to shape our world so gradually that we only see evidence and traces via evolution.

One thing I find for certain ... the fact that all those amino acids just "came" together and formed creatures and intelligence. And the way our body works so "automatically" ... those things have to have a higher power to design. That's not randomness!

There is no animosity between the two. Evolution is the process of Creation, and God is the Master-Mind. He controls it all.... laws of physics, biology, survival of the fittest, etc. It's all in His hands. He created and uses evolution.

Evolution is a fact - the evidence shows us this beyond doubt. Gods are mythological creatures and are clearly fictional.

evolution doesn't conflict with a belief in god...so both could be true. But, personally I don't believe in a god.

God is truth. Rely on the creator, not the created.
