Maiden name refers to what your Mothers' Mother and Fathers' last name is. Example: Jim Green and Jane Green have a daughter named Pearl Green. Pearl Green gets married and then her name takes on what the husbands name is. Example:
Pearl Green becomes Pearl Green James (or she can drop the green completely out of her married name.)

normally it's mother's maiden name. Meaning the name before your mom get married. In some countries, the women changed their name after they get married.
Mother's maiden most probably means before she got married.

Mother's maiden....hmm..I've only heard that in reference to your mother's maiden name. Its the last name your mother had before she got married. Like my mom went from Carr to Dunlap after she married my father. Hope this helps!!

Generally it's mother's maiden NAME, as in the last name she had before presumably marrying your father. Her family name.

Uh, yeah. One would HOPE maiden means virgin, but sadly it is not always TRUE. Maiden is the last name your mother had before she married your father and took his name. Like if Mary Jones marries Bill Clark, she is now Mary Clark and what is her maiden name? Yooooooou GUESSED IT!! It is "Jones." Alrighty then!
