You should eat cereal like fruit and fibre, or anything with no sugar added. If you can't do without the sweetness, add chopped fresh fruit or use a granulated sweetener if you must. Alternatively have some wholemeal toast and either a very low fat spread, or instead of that spread a banana straight on to the toast and have some fruit juice or freshly squeezed orange with it.

If you get hungry before lunch eat fruit or ryvita breaks, rice cakes instead of resorting to high calorie snacks. Drink lots of water too, especially before you eat, it fills you up. Eat things things like fruit salad or chopped veggies, keep in the fridge in small containers for the evenings, cup a soups are quite filling too.

Work out portion size first. Then eat anything that consists of protein and carbohydrate in a 1:1 ratio. The carbohydrate MUST have a low glycemic index.
Personally un-sweetened porridge made with milk fortified with some extra whey protein suits me fine.

Put a yogurt (fruit on the bottom), a cup of non-fat milk, and a banana in your blender along with some ice to chill it...and you have an "instant" breakfast that will carry you through until well past lunchtime.
