Does the Bible "say" that? Or are you (or others) misinterpreting.
Are you referring to the passage where Ham looked upon his father's nakedness and later Noah says "Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers."

I believe that, yes, Ham's (Canaan) descendants may have had a tendency to be in a predicament to be slaves to surrounding people because of this. However, I don't believe it advocates slavery itself. The Bible certainly demonstrates that it does exists, but I believe you have to be careful about equating slavery in the Bible to the slavery that existed in our history - they are certainly different.

Having said all that, I don't believe that African American's are a cursed people.

That is a mormon teaching.

Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon Church taught that the mark of Cain mentioned in Genesis 4:15 is black skin.

"In the evening debated with John C. Bennett and others to show that the Indians have greater cause to complain of the treatment of the whites, than the ******, or sons of Cain" (History of the Church, 4:501).

Second LDS President Brigham Young also taught that:

"Cain slew his brother. Cain might have been killed, and that would have put a termination to that line of human beings. This was not to be, and the Lord put a mark upon him, which is the flat nose and black skin" (Journal of Discourses, 7:290-291).

The bible does NOT say that in any way, shape or form, and you're spreading blasphemy and racism. Until you get your facts straight don't post ignorant questions like that because someone may actually believe you

Where does it say so in the Bible? If you do not know for certain, do not say these things. It can spread hate.
