In the hierarchy of religious beliefs, from backward thinking muslims, to steady eddie Christians, to Jews, who at least have the intelligence to dismiss Jesus as not the son of god .... sit the athiests, me, who pearch at the very top of the intelligence tree. We can dismiss the farcical stories inbedded into us as children as utter rubbish, like stories of the magic man Jesus who could feed 5000 with a tin of beans and a few finger rolls. Are we just ahundred years or so up the evolutionary chain, with these primative religious kooks around us, slow to catch on?? In 2200 EVERYONE will be athiest.....

Tell me... Do you believe in evolution?
There are two theories, evolution and creation, neither can be proved nor really disproved. Darwin himself said its just a theory, but I bet you swallowed it hook, line, and sinker.
Do you not accept that there are those things we cannot explain? Have you no space for simple faith?
I pity the creature, such as yourself, who believes that they have an eternity of nothingness to look foraward to. Given the choice, I would rather believe.........

Science, logic, reason, and critical thought have long been regarded (by religious people) as the enemies of religion. Considering that those are the tools of highly intelligent people, it should not come as a huge shock to learn that intelligence (or lack of it) has some connection to religious belief. In fact, there are about 20 studies, conducted over the past 80 years or so, that reveal a statistically significant NEGATIVE CORRELATION between intelligence and religiosity. In plainer language, that means that they found that the more intelligent a person is, the LESS likely that person is to be religious.

If you think about it, those findings make a lot of sense. Intelligence tests mainly provide an indication of reasoning ability and problem solving ability... logic, reason and critical thought. These are the very qualities that see through religion, and recognize it for what it is; i.e., religion cannot survive the glaring light of reason and critical thought. This was well understood by important figures in religious history. This is why the early church destroyed all the 'tainted' (non-canonical) writings, which were in conflict with dogma... Greek philosophy, medicine, mathematics, astronomy, engineering... all the good stuff. By this means, Christianity dragged humanity directly into the Dark Ages.

Just to illustrate the point, let's see what Martin Luther, the 'father' of protestantism, had to say about 'reason' and secular knowledge:

"Reason must be deluded, blinded, and destroyed. Faith must trample underfoot all reason, sense, and understanding, and whatever it sees must be put out of sight and ... know nothing but the word of God." ~ Martin Luther

"Reason is the greatest enemy that faith has; it never comes to the aid of spiritual things, but -- more frequently than not -- struggles against the divine Word, treating with contempt all that emanates from God." ~ Martin Luther

"There is on earth among all dangers no more dangerous thing than a richly endowed and adroit reason... Reason must be deluded, blinded, and destroyed." ~ Martin Luther

"Reason should be destroyed in all Christians." ~ Martin Luther

Have you heard the term educated dumb a--? You just might fall into that superior catagory. Fact: inteligence is on the brink of insanity. Because you THINK you have it figured out does NOT mean you do! It is apparent your IQ is less than average. Did it take you very long to come to this conclussion? Have you not did a head count on just how many people in the world believe in God? You are in a minority smart guy! Now you can predict the future too... Ha Ha. That is over the top man. I want you to look out into space at night and you see into the past. Pretty vast area wouldn't you agree? Now just how tiny are you? The odds are 50/50 that there is a God or there isn't a God. I would bet the farm that there is a God. You just want to be different, and jump on the bandwagon of the non-believers. That's ok! Someone has to burn in hell, and it might as well be you... Little Man!

It's all a matter of being brainwashed rather than them being stupid, maybe religious people would be at the top the naive tree.

They need to cotton on to the idea that the bible has changed through the years with different people in power and also lost in translation.

The first transcripts were written in Greek in 45AD that mean that it took 45 years for the stories to get over the Greece by word of mouth and then for everyone to remember all the stories exactly and all the quotations then write them all down.

After the first written version in 45AD there were 9 different amendments after that and obviously they would have been translated from Greek to Latin to English (maybe more before that)

It really gives a meaning to lost in translation.

Also yes i agree that everyone will be atheist by 2200.

If everybody will be atheist in 2200, it will probably be because more atheists like Stalin, Pol Pot etc. have wiped everybody else out. If you do not believe in God, either you are your own God and you do whatever you feel is right regardless of others, or the Party or the Fuehrer is God, and you do what they tell you without question. I know religious people can behave like that as well, but you can compare the evil behaviour of someone who claims to be a Christian with the life and example of Christ and see that they are not a good Christian, but we must count even a morally corrupt atheist as a good atheist because he has no standard by which anyone can judge otherwise.

I've only seen 1 hour into the future (remote viewing) so far... but i'll have a look at the year 2200 just for you... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
i~i sense no athiests, i'll look deeper as to why... i~i see a tall... very tall building... i'm looking at the top of it... theres a big sphere shaped object just above the top of the building... as if sitting on a magnetic cushion... curious., i'm now looking at the bottom of the tall building... i~i sense a heck of a lot of security... i'll take a look where the security seems the most dense, i'm in a room... i~i see 3 objects... the central object has lettering on it... i see .C.O.N.N.I.E. i'm looking at the object to its right... i see letter A on it... the object on its left has letter K on it... i sense K is male... & A i sense as female, the central object seems neuteral but i sense the 3 objects are connected... wait a min... they seem connected to that sphere on top of the building... i'll go take a look... i'm in the sphere... i see three seating apparatus... i sense the central seat is not the most powerful... but seems to be...i sense is the control seat... i'll sit in it to see what else i can pick up... ACCESS DENIED. Oh i~i seem to have been ejected or something... because i am back in body in front of my computer. I specifically targeted the year 2200 for an athiest sense - i~i sensed NO athiests! It seems at the end the beginning were created with freedom of will given... that eventually is to satisfy the end. This means there is a creator, thus God.

Atheists have been around since theism was created. There just seems to be more of us now since the internet gives a voice to those who live where it is not socially acceptable to be an atheist. We should be careful not to be so arrogant as to claim genetic superiority over other people...we've seen where that leads in the past. There are theists far more intelligent than I am. I'm not an idiot and I'm not a genus...I'm just a person in search of the truth and have found fault in religion as a path to the truth.

In 2200 we will all be dead so does it really matter! Its not a question its a smarmy comment on religious beliefs!

To be honest, religion is a choice as is Atheism, if you choose to believe in nothing then how can you believe in yourself? Because when it comes down to it you will be nothing when you die as far as your concerned so why believe in living?

The fact is your life is mere greys and different shades of it, if that's how you choose to live that's your choice. But for 5000 yrs man kind has believed in Gods since the dawn of his up right standing. One thing in this world regardless of man made bullshit is faith!
That will never die nor will the belief in God.

Man chooses his own destiny and what shapes him is what evolves him as a human being regardless of the influences he picks up. If you cannot find yourself then you my Friend are sadly destined for a life of mere questioning and wonder.

God is in everything around us, when I look at the wonders of Mother nature, the beauty of a flower or the singing of a bird I have no reason not to believe in God as you so determinately do!

lol.funny question. I am an atheist. I dont think in 2200 all will be atheist. I think religion will be here for a lot longer. Unless the religeous leaders quit lying to their people, this may speed things up a bit.
I dont think atheist are a far superior form of man at all. Atheism may be a far more superior mental state than religeous thinking however.
I certainly can understand your feelings of grandeur.... lol
But in order to help people out of the cave.....they have to see you as one of them first(i know that sux)

merry christmass

thanks for the 2 points

I don't know about superior, but you raise a good point about far fetched stories being fed to us from an early age.
I think in most peoples minds the idea of God is implausible, however,it's also comforting. We don't in general want to be put in the ground and never think or breath again. We want to be part of it all for ever in good health and spirits.
Basically, our vanity makes it hard for us to let go.We don't want to become insignificant.
But ultimately the nagging thought that we base our beliefs on the contents of a few old story books(whivh, let's be honest, aren't even a good read)willalways come back to haunt us.

i seriously doubt that everyone will. but I'm sure a more ppl will by then we will leave the weak thinkers behind us and embrace the possibilities that await us if we focus on the facts..instead of fairy tales.

"All thinking men are atheists."~Ernest Hemingway

"I have found Christian dogma unintelligible. Early in life, I absenteed myself from Christian assemblies."~Benjamin Franklin

"The Christian god can easily be pictured as virtually the same god as the many ancient gods of past civilizations. The Christian god is a three headed monster; cruel, vengeful and capricious. If one wishes to know more of this raging, three headed beast-like god, one only needs to look at the caliber of people who say they serve him. They are always of two classes: fools and hypocrites."~Thomas Jefferson

these men...all ATHEISTS were famous, thinking men...yet, today ppl don't even know this about them! the religious rarely know anything about facts because they don't BOTHER to learn. and then..insult us about not knowing the bible (although the bible is open to interruption, so their sarcasm is pointless).
now..tell me, WHO is the liar, and hypocrite now? i have yet to meet a truly intelligent "religious" individual yet.
