What different gifts are there besides speaking in tongues and healing others. Why does God give these to some people and how?

The best gift was the grey matter between our 2 ears. Serious! By using the grey matter, we think and react differently, and that's why we are all so different.

The ability to connect.
The ability to understand.
The ability to choose.
These are the gifts God gives you, the rest in my opinion is just a show. Not of God but of the individual. No one heals, no one speaks to god in tongues. They might think they do, but crazy people often think that they are the sane ones. Don't fall into the trap of falling for this. God wants you to use your mind, inside you know what is true.

that includes the gifts of the holy spirit... like knowledge, understanding,piety,fear of the Lord,wisdom,etc..
