In Turkey, they can. People may eventually start saying 'what a shame' and stuff like that, but nobody's forced to get married or anything like that. The only downside is that few people live alone here so most single women (and men) will live with their parents - well into their thirties or more. Which must suck.
I can't speak about other Muslim countries.

Then she can go ahead and do that. But as a girl, I doubt that she would want to live the rest of her life alone. So I think that it's not Islam that doesn't allow her to do that, it's her own emotions and needs :) A woman can be married and independent (have her own business for example). Islam allows her to live a single independant life without getting married as long as she doesn't commit adultry and sin

I really enjoyed PURE's answer on your previus question .. and she clearly indicated there was some variance place to place.. and nationally our cultural values shouldn't have to be all the same .. I'm glad some people are indicating where they are from ...

I think in some countries girls are not allowed to find a paid job, so she has to find a husband or depend on her family members.
There will be quite some pressure to get married.

It is possible. She can live on her own or with her family. Nobody can push her marry nowadays. Indeed she will have to forget about having any relationships with men .

It i up to her, but she mustn't fall in fortification. Marriage isn't obligatory, but strongly encouraged. So it's completely up to her.
