What is the consequence of the existence of God. It means that you have a certain responsibility of the way you live your life. Just believing in God is to easy.

Your faith isn't about what church you attend necessarily, though some churches are suspect and I have a few I would never go near after what I have learned about them. It is about what we believe and learn from reading the Bible and studying what it says, and following the guidelines so to speak that are set for us in the Bible as they provide guidance on living a life that is a reflection your beliefs in God and your acceptance of Jesus as your savior. Being a Christian is a religion. Perhaps you are confusing religion with denominations of religion such as Methodist or Lutheran. As for the question: is it useful? Imagine a world without hope or something to believe in that is greater than ourselves.

Yes. Organized religion is the creation of man. Understanding God is a individual journey. Don't let some ideology cloud your journey. Learn to know God yourself, it will make your understanding more clear and much stronger.
