I will counsel her/him on the christian position on the issue; specifically the scriptural reasons why homosexual life is not good for a christian. For an African parent, I will tell the child that it is a taboo and that it is an act that will be condemned by the society and can incure the wrath of GOD.
A parent should be prayerful to GOD to cast out the negative spirits in the child. As a parent give the child more attention and parental love instead of hatred and frustration.

Do nothing I guess? Ok don't be offended. But that is what I think. If your child is a homosexual, there is nothing you can do about it to change that. Maybe it was just natural that he/she is born to be. It's the way he/she is. You can't force love. It's not what your child decides to be too, it just happens that they have feelings for the same sex. If you were forced to love someone of your gender, you wouldn't be able to do so right? So to me I wouldn't force a person to be who they can't be. I'm not a Christian but I do know homosexuality is not allowed in Christianity. This is just an opinion of mine that I'd like to share. =)

I would accept it, What do YOU want to do, I'm not christian or homosexual but I have friends that are and I've learned that you don't become homosexual, you're born like that and there's nothing to do about it, Hating homos is Racist! People think it's like a new fashion and stuff but homosexuality existed before that religion was created, Greecs like Socrate or Archimede were gay...

I would love them no less. I would probably have a talk with them and if they still continue to believe they are a homosexual, I would say, "I love you, but I do not condone your lifestyle." Then all I could do would be pray for them.

I would tell him that those actions are sinful (Romans 1:26-27), and that he needed to repent of those actions immediately (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

I am a Christian (Lutheran Denomination ELCA) I don't believe that homosexuality is against God - immoral etc. I believe that we are ALL sinners just doing our best.
If any of my children told me they were gay I would love them just the same.

I would ask them why they felt this way. I would pray for them but never stop loving them. A christian doesn't hate the person they hate the sin.
