most of the people in th emuslim can and they understand the reality of the islam but the problem in the leader of the muslim people.
they try to prevent all the muslim of translating the real islam to the fact because they have a canser in their brain called amirca,

about the media it cant do any thing cuz all of the media are lead by people who dont want the huge muslim power to wake up.

Some of them do understand it and see the whole picture, some others are totally lost! They tend to generalize and judge! They take one word out of a sentence although completing the sentence would make a difference!

A lot of them ten to mix up between culture and religion!

Many others would ignore the good and focus on the fanatics, radicals, and extremists and accordingly judge Islam from that angle!

Media plays a BIG role! Hence the movie: "Wag the Dog"
People are living in different parts of the world, away from reality... sometimes they think this "what you get is what you see"
Its the media's job to attract attention of mass audience, and each with its different means and approaches. Some are good and a lot are bad!

People would sometimes rather believe it because they like to point fingers at one another....

How non muslims can understand reality of Islam if some of them initially have negative attitute to it? This negativism coming from powerfull almighty Media. Being and ex christian I can understand the difference. Cos i was non muslim.
Now I am muslim - this is the only way to realise what the religion values and paths. Many people here who are non -muslims asking such a stupid questions about Islam or even worse- givin ridiculous answers. Without having any definition about subject .

I see these answers saying that the media is the problem, and the reason that non Muslims are against the Muslim world.

I feel that the radical islamists that are killing in the name of Islam, ALL over the world are bringing these views down upon themselves. It's the radical Islamists groups that when confronted with ground war, target civilian centers instead of military targets. The media shows these things yes, as they should. All the terrorists arrested world wide involved in bombings of mass transit systems, night clubs, flying planes into towers have one common denominator and that is that they were all of the Muslim faith.

Why don't the leaders of the Muslim world, denounce these actions, why aren't they saying how horrible it all is? Why aren't they standing up for what they say Islam is really all about? Educate us people of Islam. Do they somehow feel that, in some respects, terrorism is a legitimate way to spread their message? Spread their faith? Prove to the world that your religion isn't one of hate mongering and terror. Have your leaders denounce the terrorists and radical islamists. Let me see that on TV everyday. If you truly believe that they are hurting your religion speak out against them.

Until that happens, and I continue to see protests supporting Hezbollah's crusade to "wipe Israel from the face of the earth" even in a city such as Boston, Massachusetts, then I will continue to believe that we are truly in a war of civilizations, where I can only hope humanity will survive.

Did Islam have a media, prior to non-muslims rescuing Islam from Fascism? In fact, I think it was a German who invented the printing press, and an Italian invented the radio. The Twin Towers were a dose of reality, thanks to a few muslims. Or does Islam think that the U.S. is making too big an issue out of that abomination?

Non muslims nearly know nothing about islam - but know wrong things unfortunately-

I think this is due to many causes:
1-Muslims or majority of them know little about their religion specially those living here in Europe & America.
their infos about representing their true religious deeds is poor & not enough.

2-Muslims in east & their media didn't pay attention to non-muslims' need to know about islam , islamic instructions & lifestyle. as they didn't transalte enough books or make presentations about islam......so they allowed other to represent islam as the religion of terror & repression.

3-Western media represented islam in the way that made us hate islam & even to be afraid to see a muslim man or woman wearing her scarf.

Actually I tried to know islam in my way & I found it a good religion calling for peace & love .....love ur God , ur prophet & all prophets, love ur country , ur land , ur family
live in peace even with birds & animals.

There are different kinds of distortions taking place in varied medias ... I think people need to listen to each other with more respect .. and not accept everything their medias are telling them ..
