I enjoy meditation because I find it to be very calming, plus I feel a sense of connectedness between myself and the world. It also helps when I have a difficult decision to make. After meditating on the issue, I find the answer that's best for me comes immediately.
Currently my focus is Heart Rhythm Meditation, which is focusing on the heartbeat in connection with the breathing. It's opened my heart spiritually and emotionally, and I feel like I'm starting to trust myself and those around me again.

meditation brings a higher understanding of self and the world around me; my favorite ways are to either sit under a big oak tree in the sun and let my consciousness slip out of my head and go with the wind or concentrating on a candle while trying to change something about it.

Peace. Connection with the true self. As serene as a crystal clear pond without ripples. Knowledge that there exists the Divine behind the "worldly" curtains.
Sit in a quiet spot. Close your eyes. Concentrate deeply. Let the parade of thoughts pass through your mind until its quiet. Slowly you will find yourself.

"MEDITATION IS THE ONLY JOY WHICH IS NON COMPETITIVE, THE ONLY JOY THAT YOU ATTAIN, BUT NOBODY LOSES."
Be true to your inner being and all religions are fulfilled.
