TK is right---long hours and not high pay, but it is never boring! Below is a link to one of the universities that has a 'hospitality' degree program.

Yes, unless the hotel is the family business (and you've worked every job in the hotel since you were a kid) you WILL need a degree to the the top job.

Now you can work your way up through a hotel's ranks, but that takes years an no guarantee that you'll end up on top either.

Many sites to answer your question. But why Hotel Management? Long hours, doesn't pay that great! But it's fun :-) One needs to be willing to serve to enjoy this industry. Being a manager will probably require you to start from the ranks. Or through a management trainee program. Being a manager is another ball game totally! Different sets of skills needed.
