If there are, then why would god want us to live with a disadvantage?

There is no advantage in this world to being a christian vs. being non christian. Your life isn't any better, your eternity is.

Jesus said that people live at a disadvantage so that God may be glorified. He said this before he healed the blind man. People asked who sinned, him or his parents, to cause him to be blind. Again, Jesus replied that neither sinned. He was born blind so that God may be glorified. Then he healed him. Not all get healed, some get taken care of by others, some go on to do wonderful things despite any disadvantages, etc.

There are so many disadvantages in life that one experiences whether you are a christian or not. God carries the Christians in order to overcome life disadvantages. Whereas a non-Christian has only himself to pass through life disadvantages. At the end of his life, the Christian will experience life without disadvantages and will experienced bliss. Whereas the non-Christian will not only suffer all the disadvantages in life but eternal damnation.

Did you now see the advantages of being a Christian?

No I don't believe there is. Non-Christians and Christians have one thing is common temptation. The difference is Christians get temptated but don't act on it and non-Christians act on the temptation. The advantage for a non-christian is that when they do something wrong they may not think about the future of their actions but Christians do something wrong they ask for forgiveness because they want to go to heaven. I believe that non-Christians have a disadvantage called not knowing God.

Jesus said, "If the son of man sets you free, then you will be really free."

Life as a slave has certain advantages to - regular food, and you know where it comes from; and on a daily basis, you know what you're going to be doing. Yet would you suggest that life outside of chains is disadvantageous?

Of course not, but that doesn't mean it is easy to be a Christian.

I think by asking this question you miss the point of Chrstianity. The point is our rewards and treasures are not found on earth but in heaven. It may seem to some that non-chrsitians have more "fun" but at best they have 100 a years or so to live. What happens when they die? an enterity of suffering. That's a big price to pay for a little "fun".

Yes - God promise to bless believers (righteous) with ALL blessing.

God does not want anyone to live in "disadvantage" that's why He sent Jesus to die on the cross for ALL of us. But as a fair God, He do not force anyone into anything. So if one is not blessed that's because he chose not to be bless rather God does not want to bless him.

The biggest advantage that being a Christian gives me is that I am not alone or without recourse. I have a Father who is all powerful, and a Savior who loves me enough to die for me. I always have someone to speak to and to turn to.That and I have a Heavenly home to live in eternally.

you see us as trapped in rules. In reality, Christianity is about freedom. Not freedom to do whatever is wrong or right, but doing what is right and having the full freedom of a life well lived. Sin traps you. Sin looks great. If you don't think sin is fun, you have not tried the right sin. But McDonalds looks great. And it's cheap. But the food is crap. It kills you slowly. Gormet food is more expensive. A little more sacrifical. It takes discpline. But one steak is better than a thousand quarter pounders (psalm 84:10)
