Tell your sister that you really want to get him the bike - that is a special type of gift that should come from you and your husband.

Someone gave my son a Playskool Wheel Pals car set. It's a track for 3 little cars that can race designed for the 1 to 3 age range. He really enjoys it to this day, and we have given it as a gift to 2 other little boys. One mom later told me that it was her son's favorite gift from the party.

My son hass been absolutely nuts for trains since before he was 2. Thomas the tank engine is my suggestion. They have movies and the trains have a reasonable cost range. Durable, plus kid &parent friendly toys. Ebay is an excellent source for starting out or check the link to Smith-Thmpson below for more ideas (trains of course)

Trains, Trains, and more trains! They are a HUGE hit right now, and it is something he will keep playing with. I started buying my son the Fisher Price Geo Trax when he was only a year and a half old and he is almost 4 now and still plays with them almost daily! They can get kinda spendy, but it is so worth it!

I love educational toys. If you can stand the noise bongos are a wonderful gift or maracas. You can put in their favorite Cd's and let them play away.
Leap frog has some wonderful games that kids really love and they are learning while they play.
You could also take him to Toys R Us and let him walk around and show you what catches his eye. Good luck

Take him shopping with you! Whats a better way to get the perfect gift than let him pick it out? You don't have to buy it right then but atleast you would get a idea of what he wants!!!

A cool helmet, a puppy!

I have a 7 12 months previous who use to act a lifeless ringer for that such as his one 12 months previous brother like 6 months in the past. He ought to take each and each and every of the children toys and get mad at the same time as the toddler develop into taking area in wih his toys until eventually I stated "Oh so your little brother isn't sturdy adequate to percentage with yet your friends are? in the trash they bypass!", and that i threw his well known toys in the trash. at the same time as he hit the toddler, I hit him properly lower back on the palms or butt and he stopped besides. Now he continually stocks his toys such as his brother and doesnt take them away... except they're very small in which I tell him those he can play with on my own and faraway from the toddler. i develop into very demanding on him for a pair months and now he performs properly such as his brother.

wooden puzzles, cardboard books, train set or trucks, bucket and spade if you let him outside crayons and paper. How about a helmet to go with the bike? Safety first
