Well done! With the increased energy that you have now, you could perhaps start being more active, which would burn off the extra calories. I think if you are just a little bit more active than you were when you smoked then you shouldn't worry about it at all because the weight will fall off.
Alternatively, why don't you give your hands something to do, for example, when I gave up smoking I had a sudden urge to keep myself busy and cleaned the house top to bottom. I mean everything was shining!!! It was a great therapy to get me through the first few weeks. After that, I was back to normal and was able to lead a normal life without having to religiously clean everythin. But it worked!

when i gave up smoking i started at the gym so i didnt put any weight on. Plus after a big run and your lungs feel all fresh and clean and the last thing you wanna do is smoke.
Drink at least 2 litres of water a day and u`ll b fine. When you have that craving for a *** have a piece of really strong mint chewing gum.
Breathing in your mouth gives a similar feeling to drawing on a cigarette...Try it

Snack on fresh veggies and fruit. Drink lots of water before meals, Eat your heavier meals at breakfast and lunch, a light dinner and nothing but water after 6 PM. Go walking around the block everyday once a day, and watch how you prepare your food. Take smaller portions, use a smaller plate. I am a Medical Professional. I hope this helps.

sit down and evaluate exactly what your eating, the amount and when your eating it. Also have you started any form of exercise regime??? A balanced healthy lifestyle of diet and exercise should see the extra weight come off. If you consume more calories than you use then you wont lose weight

nice one ! i also stopped 10 months ago and find chewing gum after every meal takes ur mind off reachin for the bickies ! also get loads of fruit in to munch on . Cherry tomatoes are a hit coz u can eat them like sweets but not gain the calories ! Good on ya keep it up u will reep the benefits !

hahahahahahaha, dude, u have to start smokin again an then start walkin about 3 miles everyday. (while smokin) i still smoke, take walks, play sports, and drive a car an lost 57 pounds in 8 months. it takes a while but if u want to lose weight then there are pills u can take with tapeworms or liposucktion or somethin.

My dad is the same way..his belly actually blowed out like a basketball and hasnt changed since its even hard as a rock....I suggest drinkin lots of water getting on a good diet and plenty of exercise...if that doesnt work talk to your doctor.

Good for you. DO NOT start smoking again, its better to weigh a little extra. Just keep at it, and it will happen.
