I think India would be on the same side as Israel and the US. India has had a long history of dealing with Pakistan-based Islamic terrorists and has even fought numerous wars with Pakistan. India has also not been on good terms with China in the past and their border with China is disputed.
India, like the US and Israel, has a stake in opposing Islamic terrorism, so India would most likely wind up on our side.

What was the role of India in World War 1 and 2???????? Same will be the role again i.e. supplying soldiers to serve the greater nations.

India will be th biggest threat to any other country
But if India Wants to win the 3rd World War
It should have alliance with the Chinese & Americans
Because China & India Has a Very big Army
& The U.S. Has an advanced one.

They will definetly be neutral and watch all the other countries be destroyed in front of them and if they take part they will show
the world that after centuries of humiliating invasions from the
Islamic world they will take their revenge since now they are the
4th most powerfull military force on Earth and they will definetly make the enemy Islamic countries pay for the torment they have caused for thousands of years. But most likely they will sit
back and watch. They are allys with Russia and the U.S
and are beginning ies with China so they will be left in a tough spot.

I think the odds are high that the first full scale nuclear attack will happen in a war between India and Pakisatn.

Survival of the fittest, if there's any more worldwar ever. Mostly depends on America, not only India's role, but of all other nations also. Let's hope & pray nothing like worldwar like situations ever occures.

India is a soft state. It can never alley with one side - thinking other side will feel bad.
So no worries. But I am sure after the war, petrol/diesel prices will skyrocket, income tax is increased, consumer goods prices sky rocket.

India will allow(indirectly) all the countries to bomb it and rape it, as all the leaders will continue its silence and prove that they are absolute incompetent to act and react.
Weather it is Atal (OLD deaf and dumb) or Manmohan (Old and Silent), Left, Right and Centre, all worried about their vote banks, shall be too scared to fight out the enimies.

I endorse the opinion of Chacha Chaudry.
Our politicians in anticipation of Muslim votes, may side with Muslim countries, even if Pak / Bangladehsh f*** in their a**.
And to please the US, it may supply army personnel to US.
Indians have no self respect. How would they take part in the third world war, except in the way as said earlier.
