No. You need the installation CD which contains the device drivers. Windows does come with pre-installed generic device drivers but chances are it won't support your wireless mouse. Bottom line - get the drivers. You could try going to the manufacturers website and looking for the drivers there...?

if u have Windows Xp with service pack 2 installed as the operating system, maybe, it will install the mouse by its own default drivers. ELSE just download the driver from driverguide.com by entering the name & model number.

Most computer mice are plug and play, look for a driver download for your make of mouse through your search engine. ie Yahoo or Google

if u can't find it in the net, ask the shops which have the mouse to give u a copy of the driver

If its a good popular make try inserting the USB connection and windows will probably install the driver for you.

if u have Windows Xp sometimes it will install the mouse by its own default drivers, if this dosen't happen straight away then restart the computer

Go to the manufacurer's website and do a search for 'Drivers'. You should be able to download and install whatever you need to make it work.
