The Gods means , those who had won all the desires , ambtions and become super huma being , once they were also like us , but with their efforts and devotions , reched to that level , every one started looking towards them for help , it means one should not only point out their one of the phase in life , should study their entire life , before commenting .

Do not confuse culture with religion.

Hindu is a religion and a group of people. But group of people is not religion.Where did you read about flirting being right or wrong in religious Scriptures? I doubt you read any scripture at all.

Krishna was not a Flirt. Krishna was a kid when in Vrinadvan who has not even started his schooling. He went to gurukul after leaving vrinadvan.

Most of the gopika tales are of middle age origin. Influenced by Darbar culture. And Sufi thoughts. Where Krishna represented God And Gopikas human soul, eternally trying to reach him.

Krishna who preached Geeta is not the exactly the Krishna of Dwapar yuga. Kalyugi poets described him in their own way, mostly to flatter their kings , using their life style as models.

Kalyuga is not Dwapar yuga. Dwapar yuga socirty was more open minded anyway as it allowed niyoga.

Symbolism need attention not superficial reading. Problem is most Hindus do not even know their own books.

Read Geeta and then tell me if you still find Krishna a flirt. He had too much depth for wasting his time on women.

And ethics of flirting have nothing to do with being Hindu.

Come on , a jija is allowed to flirt with Sali and Salhaj and a bhabhi is allowed to flirt with dewar and nandoi !

People are just asked to remain in "maryada" or decency.

Many taboo are imported anyway. Thousands of years of attacks from outsider cultures have changed scenario a lot. When you are constantly facing challenges with cultural attacks things change drastically. Clashes and interaction with other cultures has changed Hinduism too.

Krishna also expanded himself into 16,108 forms and married 16,108 wives, built each wife a palace and under the influence of Yoga maya allowed everyone of them to think that they were the only one chosen.

When Mother Yasoda sat Krishna on her lap and looked inside his mouth, she saw the whole universe within him, including herself looking in his mouth,

When Arjuna requested that Krishna show his universal form, the unlimited form drove him to his knees, hair standing on end, trembling in fear.

When Putana offered her breast to Krishna that was smeared with poison, Krishna sucked the lifeforce from her body and liberated the soul to the brahmajyoiti.

Krishna is the source of all spiritual and material worlds, everything emanates from him, kindly do not misconstrue the activities and pastimes of the Supreme Personality of Godhead with anything mundane such as flirting.

The activities revealed in the Srimad Bhagavatam, Bhagavad Gita and Brahma Samitha are part of your culture and natural heritage and there is more information and revelation contained in the vedic literature's then all other sastra on bhumiloka, there is nothing that even comes close to it.

Gods have special rights, you know.......

They aren't like, we humans........

Anyways, as far as I know the girls were behind Krishnan.......
But Krishnan only liked Radha......

Flirting and Liking has an entirely different meaning.....

You might like a person and spent time with him or her....

But if you flirt, it isn't real or intentional and always one would get hurt, the one who really took everything to his or her heart......

With the Gods its hard to say, it was a kind of liking, mixed with worship and devotion for the girls..... Not exactly flirting......

If you do like someone, there's no harm in saying to them, that you feel this way about him or her......

But flirting gives hopes, to a person that they would never get.....

But if two people agree, before commiting in such relationship.

Well, I think its not that bad, but I still won't go for it......

Hope you got your answer....... Good Luck!!

your comparison is wonderful. That was why these gods can not be considered one Allah Who never flirts to His lovers and always bestows them. However, giving comments from your view point if your gods flirt you may also be allowed to do so. I can't understand why is this in Hinduism which is logically wrong. Be realistic and fit your behavior with wisdom, logic & straight forwardness.
