I haven't been able to find Jesus in a way that he has helped me in my life. It is not through lack of trying.. I've been to church, I've read the old & new testament, i watch religious tv & even christian music programmes, I'm probably the only person that welcomes the door to door callers & I really do read what they leave with me. I do this with all religions because the whole thing intrigues me! I'm a good person with morals etc but I have tried & tried to 'find' god in the hope that his words will one day enlighten me or help me live a better life. (im certainly no angel) BUT it doesn't seem to grab me & convince me. Perhaps Jesus is the only way but what if you cant quite follow? Can a person suddenly believe? Surely to follow gods words you have to believe them in your heart? What if you can't believe even if you want to? I acknowlege i need saving but cant seem to be saved. Then HOW?

It seems your trouble is that you've been looking for the wrong thing. You WANT a relationship with a living God, but you've been looking for religion. And you've found religion. But religion is a lot of motions and a lot of words, and you need a lot of life-changing, breaking, energizing, joyful spiritual awakening. My guess is that you probably know a couple people who have the fire for Christ like I mentioned a sentance back and you want what they have.

You want to know what I think? I think someone prayed for you. I think someone prayed specifically that God would put curiousity in you so you would find Him. And the Devil has been doing a lot to tear you down and to make you not get it. (you should take that as a compliment. The devil can see your full potiental... that is why he is trying so hard to bring you down. He can see you are destined for great things.)

Do you truly believe that Jesus is the only son of the almighty God? Do you truly believe that Jesus died on a cross for your sin? Then you are saved.

At this point, most people would say repent. "Repent" is a word that is misunderstood a lot. It means to leave something and never look back. Go 180 degrees in the other direction, running. I think that true repentance is not something you do if you haven't spent the time to grasp what Jesus did on the cross for you. I think it takes time. You have to not just see it as "I'm sorry", but as "I am so in love with you, I realize that I was trapped when I did this, and now I am free and I will never do it again." And to truly say that takes a lot of thinking and stuff like that. You leave your sin at the place where you repent and you walk away, and you are fresh and new.

You might be trying to over-complicate things. Jesus is LOVE. That's what he was all about. LOVE your God. LOVE your neighbor. LOVE eachother. LOVE to the point of sacrifice.

I would say talk to a pastor. You need to get one-on-one with someone who knows a lot about God. All of the things you have been reading and watching, they are for a lot of people. You need your own personalized message from God. Go and talk to a pastor. They will explain things to you. They will pray for you (I'll be praying for you too) and they will love on you and help you figure out what you don't understand about God.

Remember that God answers all who ask in truth. If you ask and you are earnest, He WILL answer you.

Before Jesus got here at the scene men and women nonetheless refereed to their Redeemer, savior, and many others they simply didn't recognize Jesus by way of title like we do at present. But again then if one was once an honorable godly guy most likely might cross to heaven. I additionally feel folks that have on no account heard the gospel are robotically approved. My opinion is kinda scattered, I recognize folks that feel in Christ will likely be stored, however the ones that do not I rather do not feel they burn for all eternity, as an alternative hell might imply everlasting separation from God. Which might make feel. If you didn't wish Him in lifestyles why might you in dying. However, the second you die and stand earlier than God you're going to immediately come to be a believer, b/c you notice His majesty. I do not rather know the way that complete crisis works, however neither does someone else b/c they've now not been there.

when i was lost,,i have never had the time to read bible and go to church often or listen to preaches..but..when the time comes for you..you would know that it is not about the religions or people you go with or listen to..it is all about Jesus.. It is living in your heart..yes Jesus, our Saviour saves me..takes care of me, bless me, provides me..which I nver thought before until the time has finally come to surrender and be obedient to HIM..
Everyone believes..even the Devil believes in God..that is why he is so jealous and make his own... the God of Darkness.
Ask Him to touch your heart ..repent and seek for HIM above.

bless you..

You sound identical to me - totally in the same boat

I have reservations about existence too at times. So much doesn't seem to make any sense (the part that sounds like fables, sexism in the bible etc.). I keep trying and praying.

Salvation is a free gift of God made possible by His grace to undeserving sinners. It is not a reward for our good deeds. Nor is it something we must spend a lifetime trying to earn. It is a gift that we must receive by simple faith.

We need to receive salvation by faith. Knowing that Christ died in our place and that God is willing to pardon our sins will not save us until we receive that pardon by faith. If a prisoner was condemned to die and was given a pardon, he would have to receive it in order to be set free. Saving faith is simply receiving God's pardon for sin. That pardon was secured by Christ's death on the cross.

We need to call upon God to save us. The invitation of the gospel is clear. The Bible says, Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). I want to personally invite you to call upon God, by faith, to save you. Ask Him to save you and believe that He will do it. Do not hesitate. The Scripture urges us, Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near (Isaiah 55:6).

He didn't save me!
It's uh... It's really hard to talk about, but... Jesus raped me when I was a little girl. :(

Or maybe it was that was that Mexican hobo named Jesus who wore bedsheets...

Hehe... XD
